Covenant Promise:  by Joey

In the last several weeks, I have settled into a season of prayer that has changed in form. As this has occurred I have observed prayer is connecting to my daily circumstances in a new way. If I can describe this change; I would say I see the word established and renewed within as the grain of wheat. I see my circumstances as the chaff that must be separated out, and the prayer the vow of faith that puts that action in motion. In meditating on this I felt to write the following about:\ prayer promises and power in him.

Prayer: By your spirit Father I come to you with those on my heart who have been as thorns as well as those who I have been as a thorn too.

The Word: Col.3:13 Forbearing one another and forgiving one another if any man has a quarrel against ANY, even as Christ forgave you do ye the same.

The Promise is we are forgiven therefore the prayer then becomes Father I believe help my unbelief.

Prayer: To apply this and be empowered to get past what so easily besets me Father is my cry

The Word: Be anxious for No-thing.

The Promise: He will keep us in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on thee…My prayer then becomes; Luke 1:79 Guide my feet in the way of peace.

Prayer: Father; there are some things that just never seem to change and that is as a millstone around one's neck…and I have become preoccupied and distracted to the point of disheartening.

The Word: Verily I say unto you if you have faith the grain of a mustard seed YOU shall say to this mountain; remove hence to yonder place and it shall be removed.

The Promise: Matt.17:20 Greater is he in me, then that which is in the world.

I have three more sets of verses to mix into this prayer apothecary:

The Prayer: Ps.51:2-3, 4-13 Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. 3 For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me 7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. 8 Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice. 9 Hide thy face from my sins and blot out all mine iniquities. 10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. 11 Cast me not away from thy presence, and take not thy holy spirit from me. 12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation, and uphold me with thy free spirit. 13 Then will I teach transgressors thy ways, and sinners shall be converted unto thee.

And then a reminder of how this all about HIM and nothing about me:

The Word: Ps.124:1-8 A Song of degrees of David. If it had not been the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say; 2 If it had not been the LORD who was on our side when men rose up against us: 3 Then they had swallowed us up quick when their wrath was kindled against us: 4 Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul: 5 Then the proud waters had gone over our soul. 6 Blessed be the LORD, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth. 7 Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped. 8 Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.

The Promise: Rev.22:1-5 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manners of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and his servants shall serve him: 4 And they shall see his face, and his name shall be in their foreheads. 5 And there shall be no night there, and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign forever and ever.

It is interesting to me how much the word establishes a taproot in those who are willing. Yet, it is all a gift and one not to be held common.
